Attention Volunteers: The Diocese of Rockville Centre has mandated that all: parish, school, coaching and scouting volunteers must complete certain requirements prior to participation in any ministry or activity. Volunteers who have not completed VIRTUS, Protecting God's Children and do not have the completed paperwork on file, will need to take a leave from their ministry until all requirements have been fulfilled.
Diocesan requirements are as follows:

- Signed Diocesan Code of Conduct.
- Diocesan Background Check. Please click here to download the background check & code of conduct paperwork.
All Signed paperwork and certificate of VIRTUS completion must be returned in person to Lori Zito at the parish office.
The staff and volunteers of St. Sylvester are committed to providing a safe environment for our children and youth. To report an incident of suspected abuse by an employee or volunteer in the Diocese of Rockville Centre, please contact law enforcement and the Office for the Protection of Children and Young People.
